Used Piano
Graves Piano & Organ Company – Home of the World’s Greatest Pianos
In 1960, 18-year-old Paul Graves opened his first piano store in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, with 30 pianos on consignment from Baldwin Piano & Organ Company and a mere $700 in capital. After paying to put linoleum floor in the store and one month’s rent, all he had left was $35 and the determination to succeed.
Today, he presides over Graves Piano & Organ chain in Columbus, Ohio, a highly successful keyboard dealership that has steadily grown to become one of the country’s largest and most complete piano and organ showrooms. In a 25,000 square-foot showroom, Graves stocks a massive inventory of pianos, digital pianos, player pianos and organs and offers you one of the best selections available anywhere in the world.
Also, Graves has pianos that only very few dealers can afford to place in their showrooms, such as several completely rebuilt European art case pianos. However, don’t forget about the Graves warehouse, where you will find over 100 used pianos in all shapes, sizes, and finishes in lower price ranges.
Graves offers you its own in-house service staff and department that is always there for you to back up your instrument.
All of Graves’ pianos are backed by full warranties that are serviceable nationwide. Graves has helped tens of thousands of people buy pianos, and has delivered pianos to nearly all 50 states as well as internationally. About Graves Certified Used Pianos
Graves Piano and Organ Co. is one of the few piano dealers that maintains an immense, selective inventory of quality pre-owned pianos – spinets, consoles, baby grands, grands, and even concert grands are always on hand to give you the best selection possible. You will find all world-class brands, including Steinway & Sons, Baldwin, Yamaha, Kawai, Kimball, Story and Clark, Knabe and many others. We are home not only to the world’s greatest pianos but to the world’s greatest used pianos.
What “Certified” Means for You:
This is where the “Certified” part comes in… A piano is an amazingly complex piece of machinery. No other instrument (or piece of furniture for that matter) in the world has been known to sustain 40,000 pounds of constant tension for periods of over 100 years! Since a piano is comprised of thousands of parts (many grand pianos have more moving parts than an automobile) there are many things that can go wrong if a piano has not been well maintained by its previous owner.
Though you may feel that you can trust an owner you meet out of the newspaper or a local friend or neighbor who has an old piano they’d like to get rid of, you will be taking a great gamble. Graves actually rejects at least one piano a week due to the instrument failing to meet our quality standards. Since you will most likely only purchase one piano in your lifetime we feel that it’s our duty to make the process as easy and comfortable as possible – peace of mind is a beautiful thing.
Therefore, each and every piano Graves purchases or receives through trade is thoroughly inspected, tested, and tuned to make sure it will perform flawlessly for you for years to come. In fact, on average it takes roughly 2 weeks for a piano to get tagged for re-sale after it arrives at our warehouse. If the piano passes the inspection and meets our standards, then a full warranty is included along with the Graves Lifetime Full Trade-Up Program. And if a piano that is received fails to meet our quality standards it never gets sold.
