What is the “Piano” in your piano learning – learn how to play the piano?

The piano is a percussion instrument.  The musician doesn’t hit anything though: the hammers hit the strings. It’s one of the most versatile instruments, as it can play just about and style of music as a solo instrument, as an accompanying instrument or as part of an orchestra.  The piano can also play solo versions of orchestral scores, as it covers the entire musical range of the orchestra.

The piano was a major breakthrough in the development of keyboard instruments because it can plays the musical notes at your wish.  It can be played softly, moderately and loudly.  The full name for the piano is “pianoforte” (in Italian, “piano” means “soft” and “forte” means “loud”).
