Do you know, how to clean the stained on your dirty keys without the expense?  You can Do It Your self (DIY). Please read through and get a clear picture on the important 5 steps, how to clean your ivory piano key on your piano keyboard?

Step 1- regular wiping
Use a soft Clean cloth to clean ivory piano keys regularly by gently wiping them. Occasionally you can wipe them with a weak solution of vinegar and warm water. Always wash your hands before playing it, if you start this practice with a new piano, this should be all you need to do to keep the keys from getting dirty.



Step 2 – gently rub the piano key
Squeeze a small amount of a mild non-colored toothpaste onto a damp lint free cloth, and if they have light stains or dirty fingerprints on them, gently rub the piano keys.

Step 3 – Never use harmful chemicals
You can gently rubbing in the toothpaste, Use the milk to rinse the toothpaste off the keys without using any harmful chemicals that discolor the ivory, wipe the keys clean with a second lint free cloth that has been dipped in fresh milk.

Step 4 – Leave for few minutes after cleaning
Let your piano keys fro air dry a few minutes, and then buff them with a clean lint free cloth.

Step 5 – Close the piano to prevent from dust
it’s a good idea to open it occasionally on sunny days. Keep the piano closed to protect the keys from dust and dirt. However  the light will help the keys stay bleached and prevent yellowing.
